I was practicing and all of a sudden the whiteboard took control of the full screen. I was not able to see where I could restore my screen back to normal. What do I do next time if that occurs?

Hi Wanda,

Well, it sounds like you tried using the "Restore Pod" function in the upper right hand corner of the Share/Whiteboard Pod.  If that doesn't work and the whole desktop appears frozen, we suggest you log out of the room and log back in again.

When you log back in, we strongly encourage you to close down any other open windows in your browser as well as your email program.  Running any other program while trying to use the VC desktop will slow things down for certain.

If you continue to have problems with freezing of any of the function or pods on the VC desktop, we encourage you to run a speed test through a website like Speakeasy.  Compare the results of the speed test with what your internet provider (ISP) claims to be providing.  IF there is a discrepancy we encourage you to speak to your ISP.

Sometimes what they are selling and what they deliver is widely divergent!

In addition, if you are using your internet during a time of high traffic, you can experience slow downs (or latency) due to heavy volume, especially if you get your internet via cable.

And as always, please keep in mind that our servers are located in South Africa.  This can create additional latency due to the weather or any number of issues on the ground in SAfrica.
